stand up 8
Godly men don't fall. And at least that's what my little elementary school brain learned in Sunday school and private Christian school. That if you want to be godly. You don't fall. Which seemed to clash as I get older, as I started to read the Bible more and more, and I read the story of Abraham.
Isaac, Jacob, Noah. David. Solomon. Peter And pretty much every single person in the Bible. That I thought was godly. But godly men don't fall, right? Aint that right, David? Like tell me that wasn't you sitting up on a rooftop looking down at that woman bathing.
knowing that she was already married. But what about you, Abraham? Telling Pharaoh your wife was your sister, your sister? Tell me that wasn't you. And what about Peter? I mean, you spent three years with Jesus. And you deny him to a little girl.
What about you, Solomon? Wisest man ever lived... Yeah Right. What have you got to say for yourself? Oh, you wrote it down, huh? A righteous man may fall down seven times. But they will get up again.
Here I am thinking that your righteousness, your Godliness has to do with not falling down. Only to find out it's more about how many times you get back up. Righteous man falls down seven. Stands up eight.
